Gemma and Will are shaken when their son dies in an accident. Jem blames herself and starts getting panic attacks that affect her vision. Will believes he can hear her son’s voice crying. To escape their sorrow, Gemma proposes to accept Paul’s suggestion to stay in his lodge near the lake. Paul helps Gemma stop with her medication. Will, unable to hear his son in the hut, hates Paul and goes home. Jema relies entirely on Paul, who is beginning to experience feelings about her.
